Me
I
am a native Washingtonian serving in our Nation's Capital City. I attended
the Universty of Pittsburgh (Pitt)
for a year. I transferred to Howard
University where I received
my Bachelor of Science in Systems
and Computer Science. Afterwards, I received my Master of Science
in Telecommunications
from the University of Maryland, College
Park.
How did
you get interested in AmeriCorps
My cousin
was planning to join AmeriCorps when I was a freshmen attending Pitt.
What is that all about I wondered. In my opinion, it's like the PeaceCorps
in America. I was interested in the PeaceCorps so why not AmeriCorps,
a place where I can help others in America. AmeriCorps*VISTA
(Volunteers In Service To America). Also, being involved with community
technology centers (CTCs) I will have the opportunity to increase
my technical skills, teaching
abilities,
and
effectiveness
through
communication.
